The 5th Chinese Traditional Cultural Festival (CTCF2025) returned to Melbourne on 20th and 21st September at Federation Square, transforming the iconic venue into a vibrant hub of ancient Chinese culture and modern artistic fusion. This year’s festival attracted over 70,000 attendees, featuring 28 vendor groups, 48 live performances, more than 380 performers, and supported by 70+ staff and volunteers. Highlights included the National EDM Music Festival blending traditional melodies with electronic beats, immersive cultural zones such as Dunhuang Aesthetics, Chinese Mythology, and Bamboo Panda Garden, hands-on intangible cultural heritage experiences, interactive games like giant mahjong and ancient “football” (cuju), and a diverse range of Sino-Western culinary delights. The event was honored by the presence of Consul-General of China in Melbourne Mr. Fang Xinwen, along with video messages from Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan, Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece, and strong support from multicultural parliamentarians and community leaders. With over 50,000+ engagements on Xiaohongshu and 100,000+ views on Instagram/TikTok, CTCF2025 successfully bridged cultural heritage with contemporary expression, strengthening multicultural dialogue and community cohesion in Australia.

 

第五届中华传统文化节（古风市集2025）于9月20日至21日重返墨尔本联邦广场，将这个标志性场所转变为汇聚中国古代文化与现代艺术融合的活力中心。本届活动吸引了超过7万人次参与者，汇聚了28组商家、48场现场演出、380多名演员，并得到了70多名工作人员和志愿者的支持。活动亮点包括融合传统旋律与电子节拍的国风电音节，沉浸式文化体验区如敦煌美学、中华神话和竹林熊猫，非遗手作体验，巨型麻将、古代“足球”（蹴鞠）等互动游戏，以及丰富多样的中西融合美食。本次活动荣幸地迎来了中华人民共和国驻墨尔本总领事房新文先生的莅临，并收到了维多利亚州州长雅辛塔·艾伦阁下、墨尔本市市长尼古拉斯·里斯阁下的视频致辞，同时也得到了多位多元文化事务议员和社区领袖的大力支持。活动在小红书平台获得了超过5万次互动，在Instagram/TikTok上累计观看量超过10万次，成功搭建了文化遗产与现代表达的桥梁，加强了澳大利亚的多元文化对话与社区凝聚力。
